CRONICLE OF THE CHALLENGE
6pm, day 1, Thomas, Jake and Alejandro start running their first lap. They have previously posted in Instagram the schedule of the challenge and the running tour. For their surprise, other runners of the University of St.Gallen are waiting for them at the start. Runners from Berlin, Madrid and Switzerland do join them virtually. Everybody wants to give them their support. People start donating for the project through the #48hforeducation platform.
Thomas, Jake and Alejandro feel strong and motivated. They keep running every 4 hours. Lap Nr. 4, 6am, it is about 0 degrees, they have slept very little, it starts getting hard. They keep going. Stretching, magnesium and equilibrated food inbetween the laps helps to keep them in shape. 6pm, day 2. They keep strong mentally, but their muscles start to hurt. Students keep giving them support running with them every single lap. In the social networks there is great euphoria. Motivational words are posted all over. The general support keeps growing towards the final laps.
An image of a big group of students running along the streets of St.Gallen is posted. It is very impressive. The atmosphere is unique. Thomas, Jake and Alejandro start flying towards the end. They will later say that this has been the big moment of the challenge. They keep mentally strong. They do not feel the tiredness any more. People continue making donations. Students keep supporting them. Over 100 people donate for the project. Amazing! 6pm day 3. An extra 13 lap is run to reach the €4000. Last run.
They get it! An image is posted with the text "The journey is over." Picks of happy runners, students and doners!. They have largely overpassed their goal. 6.499€ has been raised. A good feeling. Together we win!
